Large medieval bronze key. Circa 14th century CE. Copper-alloy, 46.18g. 102mm. The key has a long hollow shaft with a plain and very simple lock bit. The handle/ring is semi-circular and has almost worn through on the outer edge, indicating it has seen many years of use before it was lost. From an English collection, believe to have been found near Colchester.
